The [[Dragon King|Dragon King's]] solution was to set certain events in motion to invoke prophecy. Of those changes he demanded that the king give up his yet to be born daughter. She would be sent to a remote village where the Queen and King would not be able to find her. She would also have spells cast on her so that any who saw her would think she was a Common Brown [[Kitsune]].| | |||
prepresent=She lived in a remote village near the earth gate. She studied healing magic to help the villagers in the town. She is known and loved for always helping those in need. She figured that her life would remain this way until she grew old. Then her guardian (whom she knew as her grandmother) died in a raid on the village. The village was raided from time to time due to the remoteness of the village. As her grandmother laid dying she told her to seek out her parents in the capital city, she died before she could tell her anything else.| | |||
present=She decides that the best thing that she can do is to journey to the capital city to find her parents. But since the trip is long and very dangerous she must find someone to travel with her (she has very little self defense abilities). During her search for someone to travel with a group of slavers come to the town to sell their wares. It is not uncommon for remote towns to use slaves, but in larger towns it is generally a shunned practice. Although she dislikes the idea of taking a slave, she is left with little choice. As soon as she sees the main character she knows that there is something different about him. In his present state he looks sickly (due to his body not being use to magic), that and his declaration of causing harm to anyone who tried to control him, made it so that nobody wanted to bid on him. At the last minute she decided to place a bid. After the auction she talks to him explaining her plight and that she would release him now even if he did not wish to help her. He decides to help her since going to the capital would most likely be the best place to find a way to reactivate the gate home. Thus starts their journey together to the capital city.| | |||
